saturday afternoon boredom

there is little to do on a saturday afternoon, every plan has been thwarted. i tried to clean out the storage room, but there is a lot of alex's things that i don't want to throw away. so i had to do something else. i went to clean my car and got a little way through that and it started raining. so it left me no choice but to return to the computer and blog and post randomly on message boards and such. i want to go out for dinner and eat somewhere nice tonight. we don't have any food here, so we have a good excuse.

i might go to the final of the next big thing tonight, i'm really looking forward to seeing mink mussel creek, i listened to some songs and while they are a little too rocky for my tastes, you can here something happening in the background and i think it would go better live. work this week has been a little shit, two very angry customers and little i could do, it's harder when you're the boss, you are stuck in an in-between land. which side do you fall, staff or customer? i don't know. no casual staff who want to do any hours. it's the weekend, i shouldn't be thinking about these things.

oh karen o. oh karen o. oh karen o. so, guess who i saw last nite, you don't get any prizes, but it should be fun. the yyy's were everything and more. magnificent, majestic, inspiring and sexy. yes i was a little pissy, wine is one hell of a drug. i had a complete moment where i was totally lost within maps and i found myself stuck within that most beautiful song. gigs are always best with alex, i'm glad she made herself come, because i know it exhausting after working and being sick with that terrible bug she caught from me. we had a nice dinner before at madonna's that embarrassed us both, because we were served before couples that were there long before us. oh well, i feel satisfied that i've seen them, because they were definitely on the list of bands i need to see before i leave this earth and they were everything and more. i'm glad they came to perth. i know they are bigger than the sound. oh and the house is 100%, within four weeks we will have a place of our own. hooray!!!

the sweetest dinners of all

alexandra makes me the best dinners when i'm sick, they revitalise and rejuvenate me. usually i'm harcore vego, but drift when i'm sick. so for the past two days i've had chicken soup which was exceptional and a risotto with an insy amount of bacon. they both made me feel a lot better. tanks so much honey bun. you don't know how much i appreciate it.

the doctor gave me a puffer for my cough, but since i don't believe in drugs, i'm not taking it. i'm feeling better now, so i hope i'm over the worst of it. what else has happened? not much, saw superman which i liked and that's about all. i hope france wins the world cup now, it's good to see zidane playing with such pizzazz. i'm seeing coldplay on friday night and the rest of the weekend will be spent recovering.
